Father's Day with Loyd and Lloyd!

Two baby polar bears turned all of Hungary into new parents overnight — but nobody spared a thought for their father. While the nation obsessed over the cubs and their mother at Sóstó Zoo, we spotted the one character everyone had missed: Lloyd, the quiet, aging bear behind it all. A closer look revealed an unlikely brand connection nobody else had caught. So this Father's Day, while every other brand chased the cubs, we claimed the dad — and turned an overlooked storyline into the freshest platform of the year.

What was the spark?

Lloyd's name nearly spells like LOYD, a tea brand we work with, and in Hungarian, "ice bear" and "iced tea" sound almost the same. One overlooked polar bear dad, one perfect pun — the spark for a Father's Day nobody else could tell.

How did we bring it to life?

We kicked things off by announcing Lloyd's official adoption on social, then partnered with Sóstó Zoo to reward him with an icy fruit treat mirroring our tea's flavour — shot, edited and published entirely in-house. A giveaway followed, aimed mostly at fathers and pulling LOYD past its usual audience of busy mums. The weekend wrapped with a live tasting at the zoo, giving visiting families a real reason to celebrate together.

How did we keep it rolling?

Momentum kept building through fresh social posts, a follower-driving giveaway and a sharp matrix of paid ad variants — each one keeping dads, not mums, at the center of the story.

What was the spark?

The bear that nobody noticed became LOYD's biggest win: a brand-new male audience, fast follower growth, and proof that a lean team can out-move brands twice its size.
